Heating large, open-plan offices, commercial spaces and public buildings can be challenging.
With poor insulation, glass facade, single-glazed windows and footfall that means doors are in constant use and therefore letting heat escape throughout the day, it’s important that larger spaces like these receive consistent, even heat delivery. Unfortunately, most traditional office radiators aren’t equipped for such a task.
For these spaces, electric radiators are the perfect option. Custom built to heat large spaces evenly and efficiently using the principle of radiation and convection heat, commercial radiators offer precise temperature controls that help maintain a comfortable, consistent temperature all day long in even the largest of commercial buildings. Using accurate thermostats, you can rest easy that heat will be distributed evenly and no one spot will ever get too hot or too cold, whatever your room dimensions.
While traditional central heating radiators can be very costly to run in busy spacious office buildings, advanced electric radiators are equipped perfectly – they are environmentally friendly, clean to run and independently controllable for each room.
Electric heaters are also 100% silent, meaning no disturbing noises to interrupt the workday.
Beyond the slimline design and heat efficiency, there are many reasons to choose office radiators for your workspace.
Due to high ceilings, poor insulation and limited available space for radiators, office buildings are difficult to fully heat. However, thanks to the small, low-level design and simple DIY installation, our radiators can comfortably fit into any office – fitted or free-standing – taking up minimal space and providing optimal, even heating wherever they may be placed.
Our electric commercial office radiators also provide fully programmable heating that is individually controlled using a precision thermostatic. Therefore, your office space can be adjusted to the exact temperature required throughout the year. In winter months, heat can be evenly spread around the building and into individual rooms while in warmer months it can be reduced to account for the rising temperatures – all at the push of a button or tap on a phone!
Installation of traditional heating solutions can be tricky in commercial buildings, be it managing complex fittings around a busy environment or negotiating with building owners to gain access or permission rights. Electric office radiators offer no such hassle and can easily be fitted with a simple Do-It-Yourself installation and plugged into your mains electricity supply.
On top of this, electric heaters boast unrivalled energy efficiency. Using smart technology, they automatically detect when the desired temperature has been reached and only use energy to ‘top-up’ the heat from there, as and when it’s needed. The result is not only cost-effective but a far more sustainable heating option.
Traditional heaters simply aren’t up to the task of heating large and often poorly insulated spaces. When it comes to heating offices and commercial buildings nothing beats electric office radiators in terms of efficiency, ease-of-use, and cost-effectiveness. Install electric heaters in your workplace today to enjoy these benefits:
Freestanding or wall-mounted, our electric radiators are easy to install in a matter of minutes. They’re simple to set up, so you don’t have to worry about arranging fittings or dealing with the building owner to fit lots of pipework.
With no traditional fuel needed such as gas or oil, there are no harmful by-product emissions such as carbon monoxide. This makes electric radiators a more safe and sensible heating option.
Traditional oil and gas heating systems are always in earshot, and often make unwanted banging and crashing noises – which isn’t good when you’re trying to get work done. Running on electricity, our heaters are 100% silent – which means no unwanted interruptions or sudden distractions for a busy office.
Electric radiators are programmable, resulting in precise temperature control, savings in electricity use, and heat precisely when and where it’s needed. Regardless of the average temperatures between the different rooms of your space, our electric heaters heat only the room they’re in so you can guarantee a comfortable temperature across your office.
With smart technology, our commercial radiators automatically detect fluctuations in temperature and adjust to the desired temperature automatically. They are energy efficient, and only ‘top up’ when needed. They also include predictive heating technology which reduces output as the radiator nears the target temperature. This minimises energy wastage by preventing overshooting of the target room temperature.
Each unit is slim and subtle, meaning it will seamlessly slot into any workspace and help compliment your office space. Garish, eye-catching radiators are a thing of the past thanks to our sleek and stylish designs.
Traditionally gas and oil central heating systems have been used to heat office and commercial spaces, though they are difficult and time-consuming to fit – requiring lots of pipework to be fitted around the building and several boilers – and are usually extremely expensive to run.
In comparison, electric heating systems are cost-and-energy-efficient, and can be set up in a matter of minutes – you don’t even need to wait for a professional to do it! They’re built to be installed simply and easily by just about anyone.
Our radiators allow you to heat each room individually and offer you full control over the temperatures between one room to the next. So if your sun-facing office remains a bit warmer all day while your shaded meeting room needs a little more heat throughout the day, you can make sure both rooms are the exact temperature you desire.
Not only does this give you better control over your space’s heating, but it also helps to reduce wasted electricity, as the smart radiators will only warm to the desired temperature – and switch off when that’s done.
For rooms with a standard ceiling height of 2.4m and double glazed windows we typically recommend 100w per m2. Using this guide, you will be able to reach at least 21 degrees on a cold day.
If the room requires more than 1 radiator all you need to do is ensure that the combined wattage of any radiators you purchase equals the total wattage required to heat your space. For example, a 30m2 will require 2x1500w radiators.
All our electric radiators are equally energy-efficient, so we recommend browsing the different ranges and seeing what stands out for you in terms of size, style and wattage.
The Slimline Curve is our most popular range because not only is it the slimmest electric radiator in the market – perfect for a subtle addition to any workspace – it will also heat a room the fastest!
Whether it’s a large building or an outhouse office, an electric radiator is a perfect solution! Simply select the correct size based on our wattage calculator, fix it to the wall and plug it in.
There’s no difference between the two – all you need to make sure is you’ve got the right amount of wattage needed – across however many radiators you need – to keep your outside office nice and warm.
The largest 2000w (2kW) electric radiator will heat a room up to 20m2. For bigger rooms simply add more wattage with multiple electric radiators until you’re able to effectively heat your office or commercial space. It’s that simple!
So, no matter how small or grand your office is, there’s nothing that can’t be heated to the perfect temperature – it’s just a matter of how many radiators you’ll need to do so.
The legal minimum temperature in a workplace should be at least 16 degrees Celsius, while workplaces whose employees undergo significant physical activity should be at least 13 degrees Celsius.
